However, both his mom and his dad soon reveal that they each have a "buddy" who they'd like to take on the cruise. Grace (Debra Messing) won't allow it in the apartment, so they put it in their community garden plot. There, they have a run-in with a mean gardener (Peter Mackenzie). Later, Grace accidentally breaks the gnome, and blames it on the mean guy. Will, seeking revenge, pees on the mean guy's prize-winning lettuces, and gets caught in the act. | 12:00 am | Frasier | ||
|
A new on-air hosting spot opens up at the station, and Roz (Peri Gilpin) decides to go for it. She dreams of making the move from behind-the scenes producer to big-time star of her own call-in show, "Roz Doyle's Love Matters." Although Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) doesn't want to lose his ace producer, he supports her desire to pursue the job.
Of course, that's before Frasier stupidly confides in his agent, Bebe (Harriet Sansom Harris), that he's really upset over the prospect of losing Roz. To ensure that Roz sticks with her biggest client, Bebe tells the station manager that Frasier will quit if Roz is given the job.
Later, when Frasier finds out he inadvertently ruined Roz's shot at the job, he is consumed by guilt -- guilt which only deepens when Roz turns to Frasier for consolation. It doesn't take long for Roz to find out that she lost the spot because Frasier opened his big mouth to the wrong person. Desperate to win back Roz's trust, Frasier insists he'll do anything Roz wants, so she asks him to fire Bebe. However, the tables are turned with Roz and Bebe strike up an unlikely friendship.

|
To commemorate KACL's fiftieth anniversary, Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) decides to recreate a live radio drama from the 1940s. He recruits Roz (Peri Gilpin) to play a character in his big production, as well as station personalities Gil Chesterton (Edward Hibbert) and Bulldog (Dan Butler). Frasier also enlists the help of professional voiceover actor Mel White (Richard Easton).
The group holds their first meeting at Frasier's condo, and each person finds something wrong with the script. Then, when Frasier criticizes Mel one too many times, Mel walks out -- leaving Frasier with several voiceless characters. Somehow, he talks Niles (David Hyde Pierce) into taking on the the multiple parts.
On the night of the broadcast, everything seems to fall into place. The props are ready to go, and Frasier sets the stage for the murder mystery that's about to unravel. Unfortunately, the only thing that unravels is Frasier's production when Niles takes matters into his own hands -- with hilarious results.
